GE Profile Harmony DPGT750GC0PL NO HEAT but it run
HI
i have fixed my friend dryer with a new thermostat but i can't fix my own .
well here is my question, i have spent around $170 for the parts that i am not suppose spend on , because ohmmeter wasn't working.
i not sure the coil is having problem or something other part ,please check the diagnostic i did below and give me some advice is it a safe bet to get a new gas valve with coil?
on the ohmmeter reading i got 1931 ohms ,on the service manual the reading should be 1800-1900.
is over by 31 , i don't know did that mean the coil is not function ?
below is the diagnostic i did for my own dryer.
- checked air flow and there is no lint trap
- I have checked the circuit breaker and make sure beaker is fine
- Dryer outlet checked 120v Power
- i have changed igniter , thermostat and thermistor (after i changed realize my ohmmeter wasn't working and all the old parts is still working.
- i changed the thermistor because it look kind of burned
- Gas Test
- it
ignite
- 5 sec i hear a click than shut off
- the inlet THD change from 178F TO 214F
- Algo test
-
- Day Wilt Test
-
- Checked the thermostat 1 (
have continuity
)
- Checked the thermostat 2 ( have continuity ) New Thermostat
- Checked flame Sensor
- Checked the thermostat 3 near air blower( have continuity )
-
- (On service manual Check resistance of ON - OFF valves (1800- 1900 ohms )i believe that the coil, it show on the meter 1931 ohms ,does that mean broken ?
- Coil #1
- Coil # 2
-
- (On service manual Check resistance of linear valve (60-70 ohms)
- close up gas valve
- and I clean up the tunnel
AFTER CHANGE THE GAS VALVE.TH DRYER WORK JUST LIKE NEW .
- please advice should i spend another $140 for the gas valve or just listen to my wife give up and buy a new one .
- feel free to use the diagnostic picture to help other.
- THANK
